The artisan behind Norrläder
My name is Joel Lundblad, and I have always loved working with my hands. When I was twelve, I found a piece of leather in my grandmother’s wardrobe and immediately tried to turn it into a wallet. That was where it all began.

After finishing upper secondary school, I went on to study bag making at Hantverksakademin for three years. I earned my journeyman’s certificate and was awarded “Årets gesäll” (Journeyman of the Year) at the journeyman and master craftsman certificate ceremony in the Blue Hall of Stockholm City Hall.
My story and this achievement have also been featured in an extensive article in the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter.
